With Veganeamos application you will be able to consult information about the food product that interests you.
★ Scan the barcode and you will know if it is vegan or not vegan, if it can contenter palm oil and a listing of the additives
★ If a product is not found, you can add it, indicating the name, an image and whether or not it is vegan.
★ You can search individual products through their name, if you want to consult information about a product and do not have the bar code to be able to scan it.
★ You can also check the additives. The name behind the E and thus know its vegan origin.
From each product you will see:
☆ Classification of the animal origin of the product on the basis of the following categories:
1- Labeling as a vegan means that the product is labeled as vegan, so it must be 100% vegan.
2- Possibly vegan, we analyze the ingredients and additives if these are considered vegans we determine that possibly the product is vegan. We say possibly because since not being labeled as vegan it is possible that the ingredients are either badly cataloged or incomplete or even that the company does not say all the information.
3 - Doubtful, it is the same as the previous case but some of the ingredients and / or additives has a dubious origin.
4- Not vegan, this means that the product is not listed as vegan, and that our analysis of ingredients has determined that it has ingredients of animal origin.
☆ Nutriscore: nutritional classification based on a range from A-E. Green being the healthiest and red the most caloric.
☆ Possibility to have ingredients that come from palm oil.
☆ There is a button on the screen of each product and in case the user detects an error, it allows to notify it and we will get notice so that we can correct it.
It is important to collaborate with each other to make information more and more reliable.
The application uses the Open Food Facts - World database, an open database created and maintained by volunteers in which food label information is stored and although it has more than 300,000 products, is still incomplete.
